Singer Mohammad Asif, popularly known as Bismil, has reported receiving extortion threats of ₹5 crore from gangster Deepak Nandal. According to the singer's complaint, Nandal is a Haryanvi gangster currently based overseas. The singer stated that he received multiple calls and messages originating from a Portuguese phone number. Bismil further alleged that these threats persisted throughout May while he was staying at his residence in Delhi.
