Galaxy with three supermassive black holes identified; biggest is 80 million times heavier than the Sun

Researchers have identified a far-off galaxy that houses three active supermassive black holes, the first time such a discovery has been made within one galaxy. While two of these black holes are positioned at the core, the third is located 5,500 light-years away. The most massive one weighs in at 80 million times the mass of the Sun. Experts noted that the smallest black hole may eventually collide and merge with the largest one within the next few hundred million years.
