FSSAI suspends licenses of two food companies over hygiene failures

The FSSAI has initiated regulatory action against VKC Nuts Private Limited in Uttar Pradesh and Chheda Specialities Foods in Maharashtra following inspections that revealed major food safety breaches. Authorities discovered live insects within pistachio stocks, along with mould, rodent droppings, and deceased flies. The facilities also exhibited unsanitary flooring, inadequate waste disposal, and improper storage practices. Consequently, VKC Nuts has received a partial license suspension, whereas Chheda Specialities Foods faces a complete suspension of its license.
