FSSAI mandates expiry date display for quick commerce platforms

According to an NDTVProfit report, the FSSAI has directed quick commerce apps and platforms to display product expiry dates starting September 30. FSSAI CEO Rajit Punhani stated that consumers should be able to see and purchase items online just as they do when inspecting goods at a physical store. He further emphasized that these platforms will be prohibited from selling any expired products.
