The UIDAI has launched a feature on the Aadhaar mobile app that lets users update their email addresses for free, eliminating the necessity of going to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. This service, which started on July 1, will be offered at no cost for a period of six months. Within just two days of its release, over 2.5 lakh Aadhaar cardholders used the application to update their email IDs.
