Four lives transformed through organ donation following tragic death of Pune runner
The family of Uday Birmal, a 37-year-old marathon runner from Pune, Maharashtra, has donated his organs to help four people after he passed away from injuries sustained when an autorickshaw struck him during a training session. Through the creation of a green corridor, Birmal’s heart, liver, and kidneys were successfully transplanted into patients in critical condition across Pune and Mumbai. Medical staff at the hospital commended the family for their generous and selfless choice.
