Former South Korean leader Yoon receives 2-year prison term for illegal campaign funds
According to local media reports, a South Korean court has handed a two-year prison sentence to former President Yoon Suk Yeol for breaching the Political Funds Act. The court determined that he accepted 14 sets of complimentary opinion polls, valued at approximately $180,000, provided by a political intermediary. Yoon is currently serving a life sentence, which was imposed in February, following his conviction for orchestrating an insurrection.
