Former CJI Balakrishnan urges action to protect Sonam Wangchuk
Former Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan has appealed for Sonam Wangchuk's life to be protected after the climate activist was moved to Safdarjung Hospital. Wangchuk had been staging a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, which reached its 21st day on Saturday as he protested against reported flaws in the NEET-UG exam process. Balakrishnan remarked that the Constitution remains the ultimate safeguard for the nation's citizens.
