Foreign asset data now visible on income tax portal
According to a Moneycontrol report, the Income Tax Department has begun displaying foreign income and asset information for qualifying taxpayers within the Annual Information Statement (AIS) on its e-filing website. This initiative is designed to enhance services for taxpayers and promote voluntary compliance. At present, data for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024 is accessible, while figures for 2025 are expected to be uploaded later this year.
