Floodwaters unleash snakes and alligators into streets of Chinese city

Heavy flooding caused by Typhoon Maysak has resulted in hundreds of snakes and a number of alligators getting loose in residential neighborhoods of Nanning, the capital of China's Guangxi region. Officials stated that the rising water broke through perimeter walls at a commercial snake-breeding site and an alligator farm. The public has been warned by authorities to stay away from the animals and not to try and capture them.
