Flight ticket prices likely to climb for festive season due to ATF hike
Travelers might face higher airfares during the upcoming Dussehra and Diwali holidays following a 5.46% jump in domestic Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) rates. According to a Moneycontrol report, the price has climbed by ₹6.28 per litre, reaching ₹121.28. This is the second consecutive monthly increase, coming after a ₹5 hike in August. While airlines may pass these added fuel costs on to passengers through ticket prices, some carriers might choose to absorb the impact based on factors like market competition, passenger demand, and available capacity.
