FDA action leads to closure of 22 food stalls at Mumbai railway stations
The Maharashtra Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and Western Railway have closed 22 food stalls at various Mumbai railway stations due to concerns regarding hygiene and food quality. Eleven of these stalls were shut down in Bandra, with the remaining closures occurring at Marine Lines, Charni Road, Lower Parel, and Grant Road. Additionally, the railway authorities have collected ₹1.14 lakh in fines from these establishments.
