Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the former Iranian President, made an appearance at the funeral of late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, despite prior speculation that he had died during a US-Israeli strike at the start of the Middle East conflict. Earlier reports suggested that Ahmadinejad perished after a missile hit the vicinity of his residence. He had remained out of public view and silent for the months that followed.
