Ex-Australian cricketer Aaron Summers pleads guilty to child sex abuse
Aaron Summers, the former Australian cricketer, has been held in custody following his guilty plea regarding child sexual abuse charges stemming from an incident in Tasmania in 2018. The 30-year-old athlete, who previously played for the Tasmania team and the Hobart Hurricanes, admitted to two counts of penetrative sexual abuse involving a minor, as well as one count of grooming. Summers is awaiting sentencing in August and is expected to receive a prison term.
