Errors found in new Maharashtra textbooks, including wrong death date for Ramanujan
Several inaccuracies have been identified in the new CBSE-aligned textbooks issued in Maharashtra, including an incorrect date for the death of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Additionally, one book mistakenly identifies the first school for girls in India as the 'first girls' school in Maharashtra'. In response to the controversy, the center responsible for the materials stated that they have acknowledged these errors and will ensure they are corrected in the upcoming edition.
