EPFO’s CITES platform struggles as claim processing times stretch past 20 days
The EPF Officers' Association has reported that the Centralised IT Enabled System (CITES), which was launched by the EPFO to speed up claim settlements to within 2-3 days, is currently seeing delays of over 20 days. The association has requested the Labour Minister to step in, pointing to a lack of proper IT infrastructure and a shortage of personnel. Furthermore, they highlighted that the EPFO has failed to appoint a permanent chief technology officer for the last three years.
