EPFO launches six-month amnesty program for exempted PF trusts
The EPFO has introduced the Amnesty Scheme 2026, providing a one-time chance for employers managing exempted provident fund (PF) trusts to fix their compliance status and avoid penalties. This initiative applies to trusts that are recognized under the IT Act of 1961 but currently lack the required exemption under Section 17 of the EPF & MP Act of 1952. The window to participate in this scheme is open for a period of six months, starting from June 29, 2026.
