Eknath Shinde mandates audit of Siddhivinayak Temple donations following theft allegations
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has called for a special audit of the cash, gold, and other precious items donated to Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple over the past five years. Shinde has instructed the law and judiciary department, which manages the temple trust, to carry out the investigation. This move follows claims made by MNS leader Raj Thackeray, who alleged that approximately ₹18 crore in donations are being siphoned off from the temple every year.
