Eiffel Tower closes following staff protest over BAPS delegation visit
Operations at the Eiffel Tower were suspended on Monday due to a staff strike. Employees protested after being told to relocate female staff members during a visit by a delegation from the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. In response, BAPS stated, "To our knowledge, at no time was access to Eiffel Tower denied to anyone. Nevertheless, we wish to offer our sincere apologies to anyone who may have been hurt or inconvenienced."
