Egypt opens 'Octagon', the world's biggest military base
On July 4, Egypt officially opened its new strategic command center, known as the 'Octagon'. The facility gets its name from its eight-sided shape and has now overtaken the US Pentagon as the largest defense headquarters globally, boasting a floor space roughly eight times the size of the Pentagon.
