E85 fuel to cost ₹20 less per litre than E20, says Minister
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that E85 fuel, which consists of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol, will be priced approximately ₹20 per litre lower than E20 for consumers. He further clarified that this fuel is intended solely for vehicles specifically designed as Flex-Fuel Vehicles. Additionally, he supported the ethanol blending initiative, noting that the country would be forced to import higher volumes of crude oil if the program were not in place.
