E20 fuel: Older vehicles might need small adjustments, says Minister
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari told the Rajya Sabha that research into the impact of E20 fuel shows that engine modifications are unnecessary for cars and two-wheelers. He noted, however, that for BS-III vehicles built before 2016—specifically those launched from April 1, 2005—certain rubber components and gaskets could need changing. He mentioned that these replacements can be handled easily during standard vehicle maintenance.
