At the conclusion of the third day of the Duleep Trophy final held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, South Zone reached 242/6, still behind East Zone by 466 runs. Devdutt Padikkal led the scoring for his side with 62 runs, and Tilak Varma is currently not out on 56. Bowling for East Zone, Shami and Mukesh Kumar both claimed two wickets apiece.
