DSP injured in Ambala as police and Sikh protesters clash
A confrontation broke out in the vicinity of Gurdwara Panjokhra Sahib in Ambala as Sikh demonstrators called for the arrest of Gursimran Singh Mand, head of the International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front. According to SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat, a DSP sustained injuries after being struck with a 'farsa' (battle-axe), which nearly severed his thumb. The protesters are currently pushing for the release of two individuals who were taken into custody following an alleged attack on Mand on August 7.
