Dissident TMC lawmakers ask West Bengal CM to stop mosque loudspeaker removal
On Saturday, two TMC MPs from Murshidabad who have distanced themselves from the party met West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to express their opposition to the removal of loudspeakers from mosques throughout the state. A group of MLAs, headed by Ritabrata Banerjee, also reportedly held a meeting with CM Adhikari regarding the matter. It is reported that many mosques across the state have taken down their loudspeakers following oral directives from the police.
