Dispute breaks out over fish served at Congress function in Ayodhya
A row has started following the serving of fish during a welcome event for Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai in Ayodhya. BJP leader Ved Prakash Gupta criticized the move, stating, "Eating fish during this period [Sawan] is a clear demonstration of the Congress party's anti-Sanatan attitude." In response, Congress member Ram Milan Nishad argued, "There is no mention in the Constitution that prohibits eating fish during Sawan."
