The Delhi Police has cautioned that it will take legal measures following the circulation of a "false and misleading" video that depicted a large gathering demonstrating against reservation reforms at Jantar Mantar on Sunday. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for New Delhi clarified that no authorization has been provided for any such event and confirmed that no protest is currently taking place. The department further noted that Section 163 of the BNSS is currently active in the New Delhi district, which strictly bans all public protests.
