Delhi Police explains use of plainclothes officers at CJP parliament protest
The Delhi Police has defended its decision to use officers in plain clothes during the CJP protest march. In a submission to the Supreme Court, the police stated that officers were blended into the crowd to handle the situation urgently. They clarified that these personnel were part of standard crowd-control measures rather than acting as a separate unit against the demonstrators. The police further noted that this practice is legal and frequently utilized during major public events, such as Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations.
