Delhi PG collapse: Debris dumped in basement, wall demolished prior to incident
A labour contractor taken into custody following the Satya Niketan PG building collapse revealed to investigators that three truckloads of construction waste were dumped into the basement during renovation efforts just days before the tragedy. He further stated that a wall on the ground floor was torn down on the very day the structure fell to create room for a shop. The contractor noted that the building owner had brought him on board roughly 10 days before the collapse occurred.
