The Delhi High Court has turned down the bail request of two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, who is accused in the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankar. The court described the incident as a "premeditated and gruesome assault" and expressed concerns regarding his potential to interfere with the trial. Sushil has been in custody since May 2021 after a deadly altercation occurred at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. Previously, the Supreme Court had also refused to grant him bail.
