Delhi govt official duped by fake Char Dham helicopter booking site, scam revealed at helipad
A Delhi government employee was scammed out of ₹20,328 while trying to purchase two helicopter e-tickets for the Char Dham Yatra on a fraudulent website found via Google. The deceptive site, 'irctc-heliyatra.com', looked very similar to the authentic portal and even sent him confirmation e-tickets through Gmail and WhatsApp. The fraud came to light only when his family arrived at the Phata helipad, where authorities informed them that their tickets were counterfeit.
