Delhi government to offer free rooftop solar panels for homes using under 400 units

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Cabinet has given the green light to the updated Delhi Solar Energy Policy. Through this initiative, families using 400 units of power or less can have a 3kW rooftop solar setup installed with no initial payment. The administration plans to reach 2.3 lakh households by March 2027, and current power subsidies will remain in place.
