Authorities at the Delhi airport intercepted 484 silver coins from two travelers who landed from Doha. Experts from the Archaeological Survey of India examined the haul and identified 134 of the pieces as having archaeological importance. The total weight of the seized coins is 20.883 kg, with an estimated market value of ₹47.16 lakh. Under regulations, items like sculptures, art, and coins are classified as archaeologically significant if they are at least a century old.
