Culture Ministry displays image of ancient Indus Valley signboard found in Gujarat
The Ministry of Culture has released an image showcasing what is considered the world's earliest signboard, featuring the most extensive inscription discovered from the Indus-Saraswati Civilisation in Gujarat. Located at the Dholavira site, this three-metre-long sign consists of 10 large characters crafted from gypsum, each measuring roughly 36 cm in height. The ministry further noted that archaeological excavations at Dholavira also revealed sophisticated water management systems.
