Crude oil prices decline for the third day in a row

On Thursday, crude oil prices slipped by approximately 1% as they continued a three-day losing streak. This decline followed reports from Qatar indicating that the US and Iran have seen progress in their indirect negotiations regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude futures decreased by 1.1% to reach $70.80 per barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude saw a 1.2% drop to $67.74 per barrel. Both oil benchmarks had already experienced losses of more than 1% during the prior trading session.
