Court permits NEET paper leak suspect to have Hanuman Chalisa in Tihar Jail

A Delhi court has granted permission for Dhananjay Lokhande, an accused in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, to be provided with copies of the Hanuman Chalisa and Mangal Stotra while in Tihar Jail. He will also be allowed to receive the biographical novel Shrimaan Yogi, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The court stated that his legal counsel or family members may deliver these books, provided they pass standard security checks. Lokhande is one of 13 individuals currently facing charges in this investigation.
