Court denies Shiv Sena leader's request for virtual hearing in hospital assault case

On Thursday, a court turned down a request from Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre to attend proceedings via video link regarding the case of an alleged attack on medical staff at Maharashtra's KDMC Hospital. The judge ordered that he must appear in person. Mhatre, who is the main suspect in the case, had been moved to a hospital for medical treatment following his initial arrest.
