Clean air is a basic necessity, not a privilege: NGT Chief
During the fifth ‘Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan Awards’, NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava stated that access to clean air is a fundamental requirement rather than an environmental luxury. He noted that while real-time tracking is useful for reducing pollution, fostering awareness and shifting public behavior are just as vital to guarantee a healthy environment for future generations. He further emphasized that progress and protecting the environment can be achieved simultaneously.
