CJI Surya Kant sets up 4 special benches for long-pending Supreme Court cases
According to reports, Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has established four dedicated Supreme Court benches to focus solely on the oldest civil and criminal matters. As per the Hindustan Times, these benches will dedicate three days each week to these specific cases, stepping away from standard miscellaneous proceedings. Each of the four benches has been assigned approximately 200 of the court's most aged cases.
