Chinese-linked power equipment makers permitted to bid on state projects
According to a Reuters report, the government has granted four Chinese power equipment companies that operate manufacturing plants in India permission to join government tenders for essential power initiatives. The power ministry requested this waiver back in January. As per the official order, this exemption will remain in effect for two years starting from the date it was issued and will not serve as a precedent for any other firms.
