China's Q2 GDP growth hits 4.3%, lowest in three years
China saw its gross domestic product (GDP) expand by 4.3% during the second quarter, marking its slowest growth performance in more than three years. Data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics shows this figure fell short of the government's projected target of 4.5% to 5%. On a quarter-over-quarter basis, the economy grew by 0.9%, a decline from the 1.3% growth observed in the prior quarter.
