China sends first commercial space debris tracking satellite into orbit

China has launched the initial satellite for its 120-unit Gande Constellation using a Lijian-1 rocket, aiming to monitor space junk around the clock. The satellite is equipped with an AI-powered computer, enabling it to track objects and avoid collisions with very little input from ground control. According to reports from Chinese state media, this initiative is designed to improve the management of space traffic and safeguard satellites operating in crowded orbital paths.
