Gujarat's Health Minister, Praful Pansheriya, reported that the Chandipura virus has resulted in the deaths of 22 children across the state during this monsoon. Out of 184 suspected cases, 35 have been confirmed as positive. Officials are currently waiting for the results of 11 additional samples. At present, seven infected children are receiving medical care, while six patients have successfully recovered and returned home.
