Centre sends expert team to Gujarat amid surge in Chandipura virus cases
Health officials have ramped up monitoring efforts after the increasing number of Chandipura virus infections led the central government to dispatch the National Joint Outbreak Response Team (NJORT) to Gujarat and Rajasthan. Authorities are currently focusing on improving case identification, managing vector control, and boosting public awareness. They have also advised parents to get immediate medical help if children display signs such as high fever, seizures, or changes in mental state.
