Centre informs SC: Deportation of foreigners requires home country's approval

The central government informed the Supreme Court that a foreign citizen cannot be sent back to their home country until their nationality is confirmed and the country of origin agrees to take them in. The government further clarified that deportation can proceed if the individual holds a legitimate passport or travel papers and is not currently facing any active criminal charges.
