CEA Nageswaran suggests keeping E10 fuel for older vehicles to ease E20 worries
Chief Economic Adviser V Anantha Nageswaran stated that providing E10 petrol for older cars and bikes alongside E20 would resolve many public issues regarding the new fuel. He pointed out that India has about 75 to 80 million two-wheelers that predate BS4 emission norms, and replacing them will be a long-term process. Furthermore, he advised maintaining the current E20 ethanol blending limit until the impact of using food crops for fuel is fully evaluated.
