CCI gives green light to upGrad and Unacademy merger
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared the plan for upGrad to merge with Unacademy and acquire a stake in its parent firm, Sorting Hat Technologies. Back in March, Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal shared that they had inked a term sheet for a full share swap acquisition by upGrad. Munjal noted at the time that the financial details of the deal would be revealed once the official documents are submitted.
