Bystanders assist Nihang Sikh in re-tying turban following attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal
During the commotion following the alleged kirpan attack on SAD president and former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal outside a Nanded gurdwara, the turban of Nihang Sikh Jaspal Singh fell off. Recognizing the deep cultural and religious importance of the turban in Sikhism, those present at the scene assisted Singh in putting it back on. Authorities later detained the 60-year-old man.
