Bombay HC slams Maharashtra political defections, calls it 'washing machine' for FIRs

The court observed that political figures can effectively clear pending criminal cases against them by joining what it termed the 'washing machine.' This comes as six MPs from the Shiv Sena (UBT) moved to the faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shinde has previously referred to these party switches as 'Operation Tiger'.
