BMRCL lowers Phase 3A Metro budget through station redesigns
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has updated the designs for various stations in the Phase 3A Metro project, successfully lowering the total construction budget to ₹25,999 crore. The updated strategy features more compact underground stations, fresh interchange connections, the addition of platform screen doors, space for commercial use, and a larger fleet of trains. Even with these cost-cutting measures, the Hebbal-Sarjapur line continues to be the most expensive Metro undertaking in Bengaluru.
